Marcela Campos Rueda

Marcela Campos Rueda, PhD, is a media researcher and industry professional specializing in public service media, audiences, and democratic engagement. She earned her doctorate in Media Research from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Extraordinary Doctoral Award, 2024) and combines academic scholarship with more than two decades of experience in audiovisual development, production, and media consultancy across Europe and Latin America. Her research focuses on public broadcasting, online engagement, and political attitudes, and has been published in leading international journals such as Journalism Practice, Journalism, and the International Journal of Communication. Alongside her academic work, she has held senior roles in media organizations and contributed to international research projects on public service media and public value.
